for finishing 1-2, they both closed terribly. 65 seconds? shouldn't they be able to do better than that? Donohue was looking good too but she closed even worse. probably in 70.

Kaki loses, but Lagat is worse.
Lagat ran the 1000m in Stockholm in 2007. He didn´t run well then, either.
I just noticed the javelin bullseye on the field, which I assume will be for the accuracy throw they have later.
It is still about 70m out there. Now, all these guys can throw that far, certainly, but 70m is still pretty damn far out there. I thought it might be at like 50-60m. This will require some effort from the throwers.

Wurth-Thomas looking the most prepared of the american women for worlds. I would ahve thought rowbury by now would be smoking everyone, but it looks like CWT then Willard (depending on the pace) then Rowbury.
She's hilarious. More sketchy than Vessey and that's saying something.
Get to know Christin Wurth-Thomas
oh shut up!
It's interesting how many of these athletes (javelin, women's 1500M) slap themselves before they get started, especially on their rear ends. Not sure it's ever occurred to me to hit myself before a race.
I am still loving the MJ songs during the breaks...
It's funny how they play "Gotta be starting something" before the announce the starting field for each event.
Let's see if Spearmon is standing up fully before 200m this time. Hopefully he'll keep his drive going a little bit longer. Watch him. This is why his starting is so damn bad lately
She was running 4:05 last year when she was 5-8lbs heavier. It's not that hard to wrap your mind around.

sorry....20m
I doubt any of them will break 10 seconds today... but if they do, then it's prime sprinting conditions.
There is a screaming baby in the audience.
Lots of false starting today.
the 'real' 100m is later with Tyson and Asafa. maybe some of them will break 10

I was wondering what the hell you were talking about! I bet he stands up in the first 5 meters...
Tailwind: +1.5 m/s
Will someone please shut up that screaming brat (in the stands)?!
Spearmon looked like a 200m runner in that.
He did a LITTLE better than he did last week or in Monaco (can't remember) by keeping his head down and shoulders a little forward, but he stills stnads up too soon
at least he close fast and got a 2nd.
