Lance ran a 2:50 and change. Last I looked that makes him a relatively decent runner.

Anyway Dire Tune is a real talent. I must admit that i thought Askale Megersa would win.. I knew these two ethiopians would win the race.

For those that decry the tactic... i ask you... you know what we are going to do... so if you know it already... train and try to beat us at our game.

Haile, Wami, Derartu, Yifter, Adere, Defar, all did it. Why waste energy leading if you can't sustain that lead.

If they want to change that ... let them give $ for leading at 30 & 40 K .. Then you will see diff tactics.

Wami, Adere and Bizu Bekele on time.. but Tune may get selected over B Adere.. who may drop to the 10,000

It will be our strongest marathon team ever. But the conditions will not favor us.

Anybody else take the shuttle from the drop of point in Hopkinton to the village this morning? An HOUR on the school bus - why don't they tell you that so you can choose to walk up the hill instead - I don't know maybe more than a mile but less than two?
