Ritz would’ve run 2:05 in the super shoes, but he was also not a slow twitch beast and was better from 5k to the half. The marathon was difficult for him. But it really surprises me that everyone wants to pretend the shoes don’t confer a significant advantage versus anything pre-2020. That’s naive and disingenuous.
