1- How did he get injured in the first place, is he addressing this?
2- His training is largely based on double thresholds + light volume of added hills/speed. Nothing that he does is particularly taxing in terms of speed/impact. So if gets injured with that training regimen, what is he going to change? Reducing volume would make the Double Threshold less efficient. Changing to a more traditional training with higher volume of speed work would risk reinjuring the Achilles.
I don't really see a scenario where he achieves both health and fitness from there
Poor recovery. As soon as he will start sleeping better, the risk of injury will lessen.
