WOW. Hearing from my sources that Seth Clevenger, Jared Borowsky, and Jamie Norton will be facing off in a 1 mile (1609 meters) race at the famous Lebanon Valley College indoor track. This is being billed as the battle of the century of Division 3 running, with the winner being crowned the undisputed GOAT of D3!
Your defense of him is pathetic, but here is where I will attempt to meet you halfway.
The revenue sports, football in particular, has tons of pathways for athletes who face disciplinary issues to move down a level and thrive. Randy Moss got kicked out of Florida State and crushed it at Marshall, and of course there's all of the stories like "Last Chance U" that document this pretty comprehensively. So it's not unheard of.
Where I think it gets trickier at it relates to this case is that there's a lot of difference between getting kicked out for disciplinary issues and cheating, and there's a difference between dropping to low-D1 vs. D3.
Ultimately the hate that's he's getting he brought upon himself; he's the one who got kicked out, he's the one who decided to drop down to D3, he's the one who (to my knowledge) has shown zero awareness or repentance of any kind. You can't act like a complete dickbag after making a mistake and then wonder why people aren't rooting for you.

not to pull a race card here but because since it literally happens; guaranteed had a Kenyan done the exact same thing and went d3 at a different school you’d be grabbing your pitchforks.
Why pay money to go to Rowan when he could get a full / near full to a good D1, if he wasn’t doping?

If it is this easy, why hasn't he or any of the others come out and say this. This is just another attempt to make the justified hostility go away and get people to forget and move on.
Facts seem really hard for you to grasp. A guy who is a bench warmer transfers to a school close to home thst costs less money where he can be national champ and you think it is an odd decision? You may want to take a class in decision making.
Athletes in high profile sports get suspended for violating team rules and the reason is not provided. Millions of people are curious. Tens of people are curious here but you expect a former school to comment or to care? That's hilarious.
Hilarious to see how narrow the former D3/JV guys see the world. You think that a nobody runner needs to tell you what is going on. Do you expect every kid who gets kicked out of school for flanking out is required to inform you? How about if somebody cheats on a test and the school kicks them out? Clevenger will have a great D3 career running 7:50/13:40 which would be a nobody in D1. He will graduate and go to work in Philly and you will never think about him again. This isn't Grant Fisher.
