I was screaming at my TV. What a great run by Jake.
I’m sure silver stings now but when he looks back at where he was just a year or two ago a silver here is an incredible result.
I was screaming too. So close. He looked really strong all the way through these champs and always gets himself in to a good position (unlike others!).
Bit gutted for him.
yes
Guess we have been underestmating the time of the season for this championship.
Shape during the summer is worth nothing at the end of september
Nader is coached by Enrique Pascual Oliva, legendary great Spanish coach of the likes of Olympic Champion Fermín Cacho, World Champion Abel Antón and European Champion Reyes Estévez. Humble PE teacher, coaches for fun at his hometown in the middle of nowhere in Soria. You want to be coached by him, you have to move there. So did Nader and his partner Salomé Afonso.
kerr pulled a muscle??
I don’t care how many guesses you would have given me I would have never predicted that podium. Remember this race next time tells you that something is *definitely* going to happen in a championship race.
What the hell happened to Laros today?
The race was too slow for Laros. No idea why he went to the front.
The kick is much more effective off a reasonable pace, rather than at snails pace where no one really has to suddenly pick it up off intense effort.

I bet 50 cents on Nader! I won $200,000!

I bet my wife on him - I got Gisele Bündchen in return!

WOOF! All the big guns go home devastated. So much randomness. This event suffers without Jakob to drag the NEXT best time trialers around. Unless you're a Nader fan. Congrats to him.
What a race! Nothing against Nader, good on him. He had a decent season and capped it off nicely.
I actually felt a bit heart broken for Kerr, what is wrong with me?
Laros was white as a sheet on the start line and took the lead early. I could tell he wasn't going to have it tonight.
What a letdown. Hocker would have won. Bring on the 5k.

Hocker won this race in my book

Who tf is Nader and how many drugs is he on?
Lol he’s been a constant name at world champs. He’s not as good as others in the field but when these guys come through 800 in 2:00 then everyone is in the race and has a chance. Nader had the kick today and the rest of the field ran like idiots. Obviously a surprising upset but pretty stupid to say “what drugs is he on”
For all the hype, that was a complete failure by Lars. No Hocker, Kerr, naguse or Jakob and he can’t even medal…
It was apparent days ago that Kerr would struggle
Had to work too hard in that heat he front led

What happened to Laros?? Nader had the kick I thought Laros would have
Kicking in a 3:34 race is different than a 3:29 race. Likely a mental component too. He was in perfect position, so there's nothing to complain about there.
Also why did Kerr keep running? He looked seriously injured, and ran another couple laps. Whoever sprinters pull something, they stop immediately for a reason. I get he doesn’t want the shame of dnf’ing, but just seems so harmful to run, literally limping through the second half of a global final as he increases his chances of this becoming way more serious than it already was.
Rojo cursed Laros. Always talks about him listening to the podcast with his parents every time he brings him up.
I can't believe I woke up before 6 a.m. to watch that
who is the pe teacher? nader or his coach? and who is salome together with? nader or the coach?
