Exactly. She ran about 9.5 minutes slower than the world record. Somebody is starting to get it.
Sydney is a much tougher course than Chicago and that world record is almost certainly dirty given the world record holder just got popped for doping. A win is a win, especially on a major. Plus set the course record by a huge margin. Seems like a great day for Hassan on all fronts
That is fair. Let us say she ran about 6 minutes off the world record, factoring in the course and all. Some of you aren’t able to grasp that most runners don’t fall off a cliff. They are past their prime. They aren’t dead. Sifan is still pretty good past her prime.

Kipchoge did deteriorate fairly precipitously after Berlin in 2023.
He's 41 and has been at the top of the marathon for over a decade!!!! Do you expect sub 2:02 even when he is 41? at 51? Ya'll some bustahs!
I get it but the man just sharply declined from 2:01-2:02 to 2:08-2:09, I would expect him falling off to 2:04-2:06 right now even on a hilly type of course and maybe 2:03-2:04 on a flat fast course. It only took 12-18 months for him to completely fall off

Is there a record for most down-voted posts in a single live thread? Is this guy going for it?
Any word on the Aussie men. My coverage is too poor to watch.
Brett Robinson 2:15.
Does all those crazy workouts to run a time slower than the old school guys like Mona and Deke who ran on 💩 shoes and did simple training of mileage and 20 minute speed workouts.

It's one race d1ckhead. He has run faster than both of them. People aren't robots ya know. Maybe you are.

Oh look another little tough guy on the Internet, who’s never been in a fight on his life.
That was a good morning. Pretty cool to see Kipchoge in the flesh, even though he's way past his prime. Crowd support this year was also so much better than '24 or '23. I just wish they made it easier for spectators to cross over the course, as it was impossible in some areas once the 3 hour and slower people started coming through.

And that's all after his training partners got busted. Just saying.

Yes, an athlete who won bronze in the 5000, bronze in the 10000, and gold in the marathon just last year is past their prime.
