Will Adam and Vincent DNF? I don’t think Adam is going to make it to the top 10.
Vincent has been struggling for 40 miles now, it's not his day. But, since he lowered the pace right after the start, he can still finish in a decent position and prove ha can overcome hard times. I would be very happy to see him cross the finish line, even if he's only top20.
the race is capped because it utilizes designated wilderness land, which is only allowed because wser was grandfathered in. the modern federal laws concerning wilderness usage are extremely strict and it’s basically impossible to circumvent them.

Top 2 men still absolutely flying, Olson 10:03 and Myers 10:05 at Cal 3 (73 miles). Previous fastest splits to Cal 3 were both Walmsley, 10:12 (2019) and 10:22 (2024).
Kilian, Jeff Mogavero, and Seth Ruhling all under 10 hours at Cal 2. Rod was 10:02 there last year, on his way to the 3rd fastest time ever.
