Omar Fabila of cathedral is under rated. His first track season on paper and he’s gone 4:15 and 9:11 to open up after being beaten all of cross with the guys he’s now hanging and challenging for wins. Him and Jubak both finished with a 4:26 last mile in the 3200 at redondo this weekend.

Looking forward to NB Indoors when she races against Emmry Ross in the 800m. Top 2 800m runners in the country. I'm projecting Herbst based on her 1:28 600m. They could go 2:02 if current form is any indication.

I think people really don’t realize how crazy this sophomore class is. Aidan Antonio, Blake Bay, Matthew Ogilvie, Michael Scarince (South Pasadena), Adrian Cantu (Saugus), Mattheus Dos Santos, Yohan Anderson, Connor Biledou (Granite Bay), Cooper Stream (Vacaville)- just to name a few.

San Clemente has a stacked sophomore class this year just on their own, they have six who went sub-16:20 at Clovis OR sub-15:30 for three miles this past fall and a seventh who broke 16 for three miles at their league finals

Both teams seem to get good transfers from time to time

There’s an 8th grader from Menlo Greyhounds TC racing the middle school mile. Menlo seems to get a solid freshman just about every year.
