I think the same. I am travelling from Brazil and don´t want to cancel Hotels etc... This is not my first marathon, but it is always hard training for months, and something happens; HOWEVER, it is entirely understandable, and I will support any decision.

I regret posting on here, I should have just waited and not speculated. Awful situation, will respect whatever decision. As for people posting that it is officially going ahead or officially cancelled just grow up. All the best to everyone if we're there next month and love to Valencia either way.
Look, there's no reason to apologize, of course, everyone is free to say what they think, it's just that there's so much reading about the marathon that I'm starting to get disgusted.

No, you don't understand my point.
I think it's disgusting that despite the fact that the people who are writing on this thread, for better or worse they will participate in the marathon or not, and they know that they will have to receive the email, they somehow want to speculate on it and ask questions of dubious origin

We won't receive an update until most people's hotel reservations are past the free cancellation period – this was their plan all along: hold onto as much money as possible before canceling the event.
I'm really upset by the lack of news. I'm bringing over a coachload of 60 athletes from the north east of England, there are athletes who's been training for years for this. I always respected the Spanish organisers for being decisive but now I fear things are taking a bit too long. Does anyone have a spare room for us all.
Mine is 21st Nov but definitely need to know before then!
