Here I thought I was going to have a hard time watching the marathon and the Bears game at the same time.
Barely any run coverage, so it's been pretty easy so far.

Couldn't a wheelchair racer start off blazing, work up to 45 MPH and just coast the rest of the way?

Bates has been very consistent in terms of splits, but slower than the 2:18-2:20 that she predicted. She came through half in 70:50.
She said in the press conference her goal was to go out more conservatively and hopefully pick it up after halfway. So we will see how she is feeling soon!
Watch the Telemundo stream. They stick to the actual racing a lot more than the english language coverage (though they do have roughly the same balance of runners to wheelchair, so you'll still experience that).
Next goal is 30km 1:34:01 (hers again)

I hope the media resources NBC is devoting to the wheelchair race will now double back and cover the American elites.
It's a wheelchair race with some running sprinkled in.
“We don’t know where they (the elite men) are”

Is it really that hard for someone in the pressbox to pass them a note with the most basic information?
With as perfect as their pacing has been through 25k, and having a little group to run with, it’s almost hard to think that at least one of Panning and Albertson won’t run sub-2:08.
yep 3-0 football game is awesome

I think the real elite men are recovering from the Olympics or berlin
Looks like Dawit Wolde and Amedework Walelegn are the first favourites to be dropped from lead men
Ok. Kebede has "blown up." She was 8 seconds back at 20k and was 50 seconds back at 25k. SHe ran that 5k in 16:08 but is still on 2:10 pace.
16:08 is still 2:16 pace.

Well, it's only the first quarter, and at least, the coverage is pretty good.
Keira out per Ed commentary - a little issue with foot popping up during the taper and may have gotten a lot worse during the race
Rojo is the only person in Chicago who can tell us what’s going on with the race!
Even if the stream is tailored to more casual fans and regular citizens, I can't imagine they find the wheelchair racing more exciting than the running

Chicago field is better than Berlin
