Very, very interesting. They discussed this on IRP and they specifically mentioned that Lisa was listed as a back up but Andy wasn't. It is going to be an interesting few weeks!
Anyone have any insights into how Sinead is going?
Any update on Sinead? Been crickets since not running GC. Anyone know how her training is going?
Not on last week's FTK pod because she was 'in transit'. Not on this week's pod because of 'bad wifi'.
Harmless coincidence or conspiracy theory?
Imagine the (far-fetched,) scenario where Lisa the named substitute gets flown in to go head to head with Jess and Gen.
A friend who pays for the extra FTK pods mentioned that Sinead has withdrawn from the podcast that covers the lead-in to the Paris women's marathon. Apparently, it was also reported on that pod that Sinead is now at the Aussie pre-Paris camp at Montpelier.
So both Sinead and Brett (both MTC atheletes) have gone radio silence on their running in the lead up to Paris when both on are podcasts where they are supposed to be talking about their lead into Paris preparation.

Nothing to see here!!!!!
So Sinead is either injured or realised the FTK-s&%tshow is a bad look? Would be hilarious if it ends up as just "Gen goes to Paris".
Definitely heard a not-so-subtle dig by Moose on the IRP live show asking Benita if she'd be interested in coaching an Australian marathon specific squad that actually trained for the marathon and cared about the athletes
Be interesting to see if AA if 1) aware of the fact that Brett/possibly Sinead (admittedly it’s just speculation on her) are hurt and 2) if they have any proof of fitness in place.

If Brett and Sinead are injured they'll keep it quiet, start the marathon and pull out. If I remember correctly a similar thing happened with Jack Rayner at Tokyo.
Any injuries (if severe enough) will be kept quiet because an "Olympian" has more bargaining power in sponsorship negotiations.
This whole radio silence from Brett and now Sinead is really bad optics. They have both chosen to be in the spotlight via the FTK podcast (Brett as host as Sinead as guest on Road to Paris) yet now refuse to update their fans as to their situation (and I am one, although quite rapidly losing interest). Some transparency and honesty wouldn't go astray here...

Your arguments seem logical, however:
1. Jack wasn't taking anyone's spot in Tokyo, as no other Australian had qualified.
