Old man does it. Surprise cheptegei chose to finish
"Marca" Spanish sports newspaper (and the highest-selling daily paper in Spain) doesn't even have a mention of the marathon on its online front page, and certainly no live commentary.
Beautiful image at the finish line, Do Nascimento hugging and holding Cheptegei after finishing before him!

So how many US men could pace 41 year old Kenenisa for half of a marathon. Would it be as many as 25? Or not even they many?

If you're looking for athletics/running info in Spain you shouldn;t go to Marca, they just care about soccer (men's soccer).
Try Soycorredor instead
Joshua Cheptegei humbled by the marathon staggering in like a drunk chicken.

Probably 2:03 high - he's 1:42:54 through 35k (2:13 behind leaders who are on pace for 2:01 high)
Probably 2:04 low, pretty good for being 41 and wearing those weird Chinese shoes
Yes. You'd have to wonder what he would have run in the Adidas or Nike?
We have no idea if the Chinese shoes are any good.
Gebrekidan 3rd 2:18:00 (ethiopian podium sweep)
The US needs to step up it's marathon game big time.
Bekele longevity is impressive and hope he keeps going.
The marathon is another beast in itself as Cheptagai has learned today, but a good effort to hang in there and finish.
Both winners sponsored by Adidas and running in the Pro Evo 1...
Is Nike falling behind?

China copies everything so probably a replica of existing top shoes.
Are you watching Lemma's interview right now?
How old is he?
He's got lots of white hear in his head and also in his beard... Looks much older than Bekele...
