Did the Johnson's get fired by OTC or not? Nobody knows the answer to this.
Did Lauren Johnson magically make a WT out of nowhere after a thoroughly mediocre college career or not? No, she did not have any "magical" improvement. If you think so, then you must also think Kerri Gallagher had "magical" improvement the same year. Johnson ran 4:16 in 2011 to Gallagher's 4:20, 4:11 to Gallagher's 4:16 in 2012, no 1500s for Johnson in 2013, 4:10.67 to Gallagher's 4:09.99 in 2014, and then Johnson ran 4:04.17 and Gallagher ran 4:03.56 to both make the 2015 team. Was Gallagher "magical," too?
Did Nick Johnson admit to giving injections to athletes under false pretenses or not? No, he has admitted to having affairs with athletes but never addressed any injections. Aspen Dirr has addressed the injections by saying they were L-Carnitine and part of a study by the USOC. All athletes signed a waiver. Since the USOC has not once denied this statement, I assume it is true. If she was lying, the USOC would have called her out immediately to save their own reputation. It looks pretty bad for them to be conducting studies on college athletes.
Did the athletes tell police they were asked to sign NDAs for this program? Dirr did not mention any NDAs; she mentioned a waiver. I have no idea what Stoffel and Wilson have claimed. There would be no reason for an NDA if the study is backed by the USOC. What would it accomplish besides hiding the USOC's involvement?
Did Nick's computer show searches for Salazar's program at NOP? Nobody can answer this because evidence has not been released. In order to analyze a person's computer, they need a search warrant. Search warrants are public information (I know because someone I worked with years ago was involved in an online sexual discussion with a minor and when he was arrested, the search warrant was publicly available. It detailed exactly the items they were authorized to recover, including his computer, cell phone, external hard drives, etc.). Where is the link to the search warrant for Johnson's home? If it exists, I have never seen it. Post it because I would be interested in seeing it.
Did the Johnsons admit that Nick had prescriptions for steroids and epo? No, Nick said he had a prescription for testosterone cream for erectile dysfunction and I believe Lauren may have confirmed it. This is not even in the same realm as nandrolone and other PEDs. EPO was never mentioned by Johnson and he would have no reason to have been prescribed it.
Did former HU athletes accuse the Johnsons of doping them and ask to have their results vacated? Yes, that is the entire nature of the lawsuit. Anybody can accuse anybody of anything they want. Former Cornell athletes could accuse Rojo of rape and drug injections tomorrow -- does that automatically mean it is true? Accusations are meaningless without evidence.
Did Nick admit to endangering and having an improper tryst with a minor, bringing his character into serious question, making doping seem like child's play? Yes, he was involved with a minor and he plead guilty, served his sentence and probation, and is now as free and any other person. Nick Johnson is a disgusting scumbag, no question. But this has absolutely no relevance to accusations of drugs and rape.
Did Nick admit impersonating an Oregon coach to facilitate the tryst? Yes
Did Nick spend time in jail and under house arrest for his actions? Yes
Is there or is there not a pending criminal trial against Nick based on rape and sexual battery? Yes, anytime someone is accused of something as serious as rape it is going to be taken with the utmost seriousness. No prosecutor wants to be the one who dismisses a rape accusation and then evidence that it happened arises. You do realize that District Attorneys are elected by the people, right? The DA would never work again if he/she ignored such an accusation.
Did AW drop out of CU at the 11th hour citing the Johnsons coaching specifically and that it gave her the best chance to run fast? She cited LAUREN Johnson's coaching in an interview, not "the Johnsons." But, of course, you are selectively censoring her answer. Here is a direct quote from an interview: "Staying close to home not only opened a lot of opportunities for myself but also let me truly pursue the goals I had in mind of making US teams and developing to become a professional athlete. I have uniquely high goals which I believe require taking a unique route to success. Such as neither the current men’s or women’s world record holders in the 1500m, Jakob Ingebrigtsen or Faith Kipyegon, ran in the typical college system. Also, Jakob never moved away from his home since he had a system that worked for him. I have some of the most amazing training resources along with the ability to completely customize my racing and training schedule. I didn’t feel that many other offers I got gave me confidence that they were promising everything in my best interest and not just to win college titles. What I noticed for many colleges was the emphasis to win conference and national titles which I observed often lead to many athletes who faced injury or burnout."
Are Lauren and Nick still shadow coaching AW, especially as Lauren is visible at all of her meets and is her mentor? Wiley is being coached by Neideck. I wouldn't be surprised if Lauren is offering advice and Wiley would be stupid not to take it. Not many young runners have the opportunity to get advice from someone who ran in the World Championships. Lauren has been a family friend for years and the two of them are very close. In case you weren't aware, Nick Johnson was under a court ordered no-contact order until just very recently (ended with the end of his probation). There is no way he would have risked jail. I'm sure 30 days was more than enough for him. Lauren has every right to go to her meets and I would expect a close friend to be there to support her.
Did AW have a massive progression in the 1500 and 800 (7 seconds faster than her high school pr) while working with the Johnsons, progressions and times that are high suspicious in and of themselves with none of this background and that made a mockery of college distance running, times that are well within the doping window? No. She made progressions under Neideck this year. Her improvements were not out of the ordinary for someone who only started running full-time about this time two years ago. Her 800 PR was 2:04 in HS but her 1600 time equated to a 2:01.5 for 800. Considering her current 800/1500 times are worth nearly identical points (1205 & 1212), it can be assumed he would have run around 2:01.5 or so in a fast-paced race (like the one she had in Bellinzona) in high school. Lots of runners have these types of progressions when starting out. You might want to look into Laura Muir. She had already been competing for around five years by the time she was 19 (instead of less than two like Wiley) and her progressions from age 18 to age 20 were: 800m 2:15.55 --> 2:07.52 --> 2:00.80; 1500m 4:38.90 --> 4:17.81 --> 4:07.76. She further dropped her 1500m to 4:00.07 at age 21. Much more rapid improvement than Wiley. So, was Muir doping during all those years?
