How is it a strawman when there's a story every week about a biologically male transgender dominating females? And how were any of the comments 'attacking children'?

While I'm sure no one knows the home-life of the trans runner, if the person is a minor, then most of this blame falls on the parents, even if it is the kid's decision.

This follows under the same principle of stealing/robbery. There are plenty of individuals with a physicality greater than their neighbor, but are taught that it is morally wrong to steal from them, even if they have the ability to. What are these parents teaching? Even if they disagree with their kid's transition, they could still sit them down and tell them, "Racing as a girl is the same thing as stealing. You would basically be a thief and this is morally wrong."

You aren't supporting your child, you are encouraging a criminal-esque ideology.

That there is never any favoritism in getting spots in college or a job?

That abortions don't take lives?

You are correct that this does NOT break down on party lines. There are MANY Dems (even far left liberals) like me that want to protect the space for XX humans to compete against each other, because the science supports the need for it, and we have fought for it for decades.

Making this a partisan issue actually makes it harder to push for change. Don't make it partisan, or uninformed people will trench into a side because they will think they are supposed to.

A far stronger position, which is supported by polling, is to say, "There is BIPARTISAN support for protecting sports for girls and women; specifically those who have XX chromosomes. There are legitimate biological reasons to keep XX and XY humans in different categories, which is why they were created in the first place."

There is strength in numbers, not in division.

Yes, MORE Republicans oppose trans participation in girls' sports. But recent polls show that 44% of DEMS also oppose it (46% support it, so even the DEMS are actually split on this). 63% of independents oppose it, and 88% of Republicans.

As split as our society is today, that is really quite bipartisan.

Let's look at that. In 2000, a 5-4 conservative majority in the Supreme Court overrode the Florida Supreme Court to make them stop the hand recount, while explicitly stating that this decision should not be taken as a precedent. That was the worst decision the Court has ever made by far. In 2004, Bush won narrowly and the Democrats accepted defeat. In 2016, Trump won narrowly and the Democrats accepted defeat and did not challenge the results once again. In 2000, 2004, and 2016, there was no attempted coup. In 2020, there was. In 2020, every single court rejected the various fake arguments the Trump administration offered and in 2021, he got the attack on Congress that he wanted, when it was time to count the Electoral College votes. Big difference.

I am always dismayed and disgusted by the adult arrogance of this topic. It is not about protecting children, this is damaging and socially awkward for all the kids, especially the one child not being guided and taught by his parents. One of the lessons we learn as children from adults, is that everything is not normal or of the norm. To pretend as we do now, is damaging to society as a whole. That little boy was out there on the stand staring ONLY at his family because conscious or not, that was the ONLY source of support out there. He did not interact with the girls on the podium and they did not interact with him. To watch him run was further damage as he simply is not good enough to compete and running against what he thinks he is, is not supportive nor encouraging him in life. It is a lie that makes his parents feel good while setting him up for a harsh reality, he is not a woman, and never will be, and that false sense of acceptance will fall on him like a ton of bricks. He is not being prepared for his life and the his choices, and the consequences that will inevitably come. Instead, they have chosen to avoid the tough conversation and placate his immature emotions. He is a child!!! And the adults have forgotten this fact.

To support my post, I should have shared the polling data. And you are right to wonder this. What "America" wants is to have girls and women competing without trans athletes among them. How did we end up here?

don't go to churches, haven't been to a school in decades, and no one in my immediate and extended family are all nice people and not criminals or trannys so i don't see how going anywhere near them would increase the likelihood of me getting sexually assaulted.

But i'd wager men in the womens bathrooms increases the likelihood of women getting sexually assaulted. Likely even more when they're dressing up pretending to be one.

She qualified for State last year, but I guess she only qualified on time last year so did not push anybody out. It seems that she ended up not pushing anybody out this year either.

For anyone to doubt this, they would have to believe that those males who claim to be women are somehow less likely to be sex offenders than regular males. What the evidence shows us is in fact the complete opposite. In the UK prison estate over 60% of imprisoned 'trans women' are there for a sexual offense, compared to just 18% for the general population. A specific population that are statistically three times more likely to be imprisoned for sex offenses than your average male are probably the last people you want in women's toilets and changing rooms.
