One outstanding one that doesn't seem acknowledged is the Seth Demoor thread. It seems ridiculous that a thread exists only to ridicule someone else. It's not funny, it's not witty, it's not good natured - it's just people bullying a dude simply because he's a crazy dorky runner.
Thank you. This is the single biggest problem on this site, in my opinion. Letsrun.com is now the most heavily censored site I have ever been on. I can’t tell you how many threads I have tried to reply to, but it simply disappeared.
It's a fascinating phenomenon. We put in A LOT of new resources for moderators so now they are notified instantly when a post is reported. As a result, we are deleting more than ever and quicker than ever and yet the people still complain. At the same time, some of the off-color/funny threads are also being deleted. I have had the same feeling as you - are we deleting too much?
The reality is there is no right answer. Some people love the funny stuff - o thers hate it. Many people hate the anti-vax threads for example - others love it.
When you go to a reddit or something or even a twitter, you get a specialized feed based on your interests. We don't do that.
Rojo, I can tell you’re giving a lot of thought to this, and I appreciate that. I can tell you that the forum is a lot less fun now than it was a year ago. I would prefer not to think about the amount of time I’ve spent crafting responses on threads that have disappeared.
I would suggest that people who object to conservative-leaning topics, or politically incorrect jokes, or comments critical of trans competitors, will never be happy with you until all vestiges of this thinking are eliminated from the site, at all times and forever. They complain, because what they are after is a site, indeed an entire internet, in which they are never forced to deal with people they don’t like or disagree with, or people having fun at their expense.
What I’m saying is that you’ll never make them happy, so why try?
Those who want a site that is about running, and running only, fail to grasp what this site has evolved into over the past two decades, in my view.
Every downvote from a sniveling unregistered poster should be counted as an upvote. Then when they think they have it figured out and hit upvote, count that as an upvote too.
It's the first day of the year where everyone is officially back to work and that brings up the question of what you want to see on LetsRun in 2023.
So tell us what you want to see in 2023? What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong?
What type of content do you want more or less of in 2023?
Maybe we'll come up with some LetsRun Resolutions for 2023.
A few years ago we committed to a weekly podcast. Haven't stopped doing it. Last year we added Friday 15 podcast.

We decided to just have one thread on him.
People kept starting so many threads on him we figured consolidating it in one place was better and rely on people to report inappropriate posts. I don't understand the fascination at all.

Whats going to happen when your daughter is in high school. You want the same jerks who've been attacking Seth to be attacked her?
The mods need to stop deleting every thread that is even remotely funny.
I want to reinforce this one. I was recently banned for a month for posting a funny reply to a thread. A month. For being funny.
There was a time when I could rely on lets run dot com for a good laugh. Some genuinely hilarious trolling was a regular feature. Now anything even close to being funny is instantly deleted. It has made this place a real drag, and I know I'm visiting here less frequently as a result.
Please stop harassing Jon Gault about his dating life. As his employer you are opening yourselves up to a harassment lawsuit that could bring down LRC due to substantial lawyer fees. If LRC shuts down where will Jamin, Greg, and a slew of others go to express themselves about a whole range of worthwhile concerns?
