Rumors are that Clemens is not eligible this year due to a suspect home school situation.
Also heard while back he stayed back a grade so actually not a freshman. Know a couple kids personally that have done that for wrestling. Guess it gives you an advantage but wouldn’t want my kid to do it
Porter could end up being their 7th, but Jonah Sloan running 10:17 as a 10th grader doesn’t bode well for his chances of ever sniffing the varsity.
I think this demonstrates how the thin the pipeline at Np is compared with year’s past when a 10:17 10th grader is considered a potential scorer compared with the 8:43 Lex ran as a 10th grader and he was the 3rd or 4th scorer as an 11th grader.
This race is proving you right even more.
You sure know your stuff and are able to make inferences very well.
Especially if they bring a transfer in next year. They were missing Porter and the younger Sloan.
With healthy porter back, based on this race, J Sloan would be an 8th nonsenior, even if he beats his younger brother
Shetty is still steps away from all juniors that aren’t Doshi. It would almost take a miracle to steal his spot

How trustworthy of a source told you that he stayed back a grade? I'm pretty sure he is just a normal 14 yo freshman.
Ohio has a dozen freshman faster than that. The fastest is already sub 16.
He ran a 15:44 here. And won the section. Also need to make note that spring 2022 track was his first season of running. He was only doing 400s and 800s. He has never done XC before until this fall.
Wonder if there are many other guys mentioned in this thread that haven’t done XC until this year
