I don't get what anyone can find exciting about the fastest men racing against the fastest women. There's a reason why it wasn't being done.

The women on this relay will run 400m in 49-50 seconds, and the very best will run 48s. The men will run 44-45 seconds, and the very best will run 43s.

Such a difference is huge, it's like watching a middle school track meet when there’s such a gap. What's the point
