isn't that offensive? he's "just like you and me', living his best life, Making SEVEN figure a year (before getting fired for incompetence, that is), didn't like getting fired, so he does an about face and now claims he was making those millions of dollars "on a plantation".

comparing his million dollar salary to slavery. can't say i'm surprised. EVERYTHING is compared to slavery nowadays.

Totally agree with you. I thought I was the only one feeling this way about this pathetic commercial. I’m surprised it has not gotten more negative reviews. The comparison of overcoming Cancer, or competing with a prosthetic leg, to being Black among mainly white athletes, is just ridiculous!!

Michael Phelps has more gold medals than top 5 African-American gold medal winners combined.

31 of the top 100 athletes in Olympic history are American and only 2 of them are African American.

question for discussion -

if a white person posted that he was going to kill as many black people as he can, then goes out and drives his SUV thru a Quanza parade, swerving into as many black people as he can, and then Fox news calls it "an accident on a parade route", do you think there would be moral outrage? Yes? so why is it that when a black guy does the same exact thing to white people, and it's termed an accident, people have no problem with it? they even deny it happened.

FOX news would be picketed. FOX news would be tarred and feathered. And rightfully so, for terming a racist attack as "an accident".

so why not the same treatment when it's A REVERSE racist attack? Is it because we don't care?

No such thing as reverse racism. What would that even mean, being extremely fair-minded?

Do they have one of a white sprinter or basketball player for the summer Olympics? "I'm Caucasian and I'm surrounded by people who aren't".

Of course, this commercial does bring up an interesting question. Does a black person feel safer or less safe surrounded by white people or black people? Considering that they are more likely to be attacked, robbed, raped or killed by other black people, one would think that they might feel safer around white people.

Yes, we all know that blacks are superior athletically to white and Asians.

But that has nothing to do with the message that the commercial is trying to project.  You need to learn what "relevance" is about.
