Ms. Quigley has been very open about living with her boyfriend of many years. Co-habitation before marriage is not a good habit for a solid marriage, and it is sad, for me, anyway, to read that perhaps "she inspires many young girls" - I hope they do not become as regressive as I think she is in that regard.
And the BLM support - ugh! I have to question the intellect of someone who supports BLM thinking that it is good for blacks:
- BLM is anti-capitalistic and I think blacks would do better to be more entrepreneurial.
- A former version of BLM's website had this:
<sarcasm>Just what blacks need, a further de-emphasis on fatherhood and bearing children in marriage.</sarcasm>
- BLM also insisted that [w]e deserve and thus we demand reproductive justice that gives us autonomy over our bodies. But any body inside a pregnant woman’s body is not the pregnant woman’s body and we do not have legal autonomy to do whatever we please with our bodies: except in defense, we are prohibited from thrusting our fists into others’ faces, for example. Direct abortion disproportionately destroys unborn black lives, yet BLM demand[ed] access to it.
