about his weight vs height does anyone know if he is 6'2" or just 6' he really doesnt look like 150lbs for 6'2".He looks that little bit bulkyer.

Agree totally with this. Just compare the world records as you double distances. 100 WR is 50.62% of 200 WR time. 200 WR is 44.74% of 400 WR time. 400 WR is 42.71% of 800 WR time. Then the percentage goes back up - 800 to 1600 is 45.34%, 1500 to 3000 is 45.45%, 5000 to 10000 is 47.91%. This indicates to me that whereas the 100 and 200, and the 5000 and 10000, can both be run well by a single athlete, the 400 and 800 are the most dissimilar of any of the consecutive distances, and are very unlikely to be run very well (ie at WR pace) by a single athlete. If an athlete is the best in the world at the 400m he is very unlikely to be the best in the world at the 800 - his body just won't be designed for it.
WARINER is 6'1 AND 165LBS ,same height as Johnson.
Johnson was 28 years of age before he did anything of note,
Wariner is only 21 and is already Olympic/World Champ.
Alberto Juantoreno is the man....44.26/400m....1.43.4/800m
Wariner will never run an 800...Never!! Why would a sprinter who is the best in the world at 400 even want to move up to 800?
I thought Wariner was a 150lbs soke and wet?

Interesting line of thinking, and I would extend your conclusion that 'the 400 and 800 are the most dissimilar' distances to the fact that the 800 is completely unique and the most different of any and all of the distances. I believe the unique aspect of the 800 is that it requires almost equal parts aerobic and anaerobic energy expense, and is the threshold between sprinting and distance running.
There was a thread on here recently that noted you rarely see guys successfully doubling in both the 800 and 1500, and you sure as heck don't see them moving down to 400.

"soke and wet"? huh???
Uhhh, Felix has not gone sub 11 in the 100m. She is a 200/400m runner.
Wariner 165 lbs? Unless he is significantly taller than 6'0" (like 6'2" at least) that is hard to believe. The guy has theskinniest shoulders and torso ive ever seen on a sprinter i think.
And as far as 800m? I doubt he will ever do it, simply because he stated in an interview (its somewhere on letsrun or trackshark) that he wants to break the 400m and 200m world records and specifically said the 800m was not in his plan as of now.
I do not think he will ever even come close to the 200m world record (maybe 19.8ish someday), but 400m seems within possibility at this point definitely.
WHY???? when someone, such as wariner is the best in the world in his event, the 400m, and is closing in on MJ's time, would he EVER switch to another event. he is the BEST in the world in the 400!!! and how can you claim that he is capable of breaking 140??? he's never run an 800 in his life. he is a 400 runner.
"For future plans maybe I will try the 200 metres in a few years but the 800 metres doesn't fit into my plans."
Jeremy Wariner
"Johnson was 28 years of age before he did anything of note"
????????????
so wait, winning 3 world championships, running 43.65 and 19.79 and ranking #1 world in the world 5 out of the past six years is doing nothing of note? If you stopped MJ's career when he turned 28 (sometime in Sept 95), it would still be far more impressive than Wariner's has been.
So I didn't see this thread when I wrote mine. What do you think about these thoughts?
So Jeremy fastest 200 Meters ever was 20.41. Clyde Hart told Jeremy he went out at 20.9 at worlds and so he must have finished ofcourse with 23.0. Hart is going to have Wariner run a few more 200 meters races next year.
Theoretically I was trying to figure out the math for Wariner to break the world record. I imagine Wariner has to first break his 200 meter Pr and bring it down to 20.25-20.33 range and then be able to go out in the a world record attemt at around 20.7 and follow it up with a 22.3-4.
Do any of you think Wariner can run an open 200 in 20.25 or does he not have that kind of speed?
He couldn't run under 44 without being close to 20.0 right now.

Californian is right, though it was four individual WC golds. It was seven (count 'em) global gold medals by Sept 95:
1991 200m Gold
1992 4x4 Gold
1993 400 and 4x4 Gold
1995 200m 400m and 4x4 Gold

care to elaborate on this claim?? as far as im aware he has NEVER run an 800m.....so whats this based on?
He can also run a 2:03 for the marathon!!!

Johnson said on the BBC Wariner would need to put on another 20lbs if he is to challenge his world record
Yeah that extra weight would really speed him up.
Johnson also said "It would not be a good thing for me right now if Wariner broke my record". I think Johnson would like Wariner to become the 2nd greatest 400 meter runner of all time. Somthing like a 43.25 Johnson would be quite satisfied with.
