I’m an old guy (61) and I wear a watch and a plain wedding band. Sometimes, I wear a small diamond ring, on my right hand, which my Mom & I gave to my Dad when I was 18. He died when I was 25 and my Mom gave the ring to me.

The rule is do what you want and quit caring about societal "rules" or what other people think.
To answer your question of what I wear, I don't wear any accessories or jewelry. And I don't think any more or less of anyone that does or does not.

Rt- Op asked what the rules are for men wearing jewelry but real men wear whatever they want.

True, but "real men" don't want to wear rings, bracelets, and necklaces.

Some people can pull off the big watch, crazy bracelet and pinky ring. The key to pulling it off is not taking yourself too seriously.
There are 2 keys to pulling off a pinky ring:
1) You don't need others take you seriously. I think this is distinct from not taking yourself too seriously.
2) Your pinky is fatter than a hot dog. I don't think many on this forum could wear a pinky ring for this this reason.

Once you’re an adult you get to wear a watch and if you’re married, your wedding ring. That’s it. No necklaces or earrings. That’s teenager stuff.
This is a hard and fast rule. Agree.
And please, no leather bracelets, you're not a chick from Friends.
Yes, hard and fast rule for adult men even if they are gay.
Possible exception might be if you are a professional athlete with an IQ under 100.

My husband wears a watch, an engagement ring, and a bracelet that I gave him for our wedding day, but nothing else. :)
He really needs to start wearing clothes.

these jewelry items look very luxurious! Perhaps, I'm going to order something from this online store!

I have my own rules and I wear as many jewelry items as I want. Nobody can't stop me from wearing them. I'm actually in love with jewelry items from the past. To be honest, I believe that all those things of the past is a real treasure, I mean, they usually make us rethink the concept of beauty, the concept of jewelry itself. I'm personally in love with all jewelry and special accessories which were made considering past chic. You know, everything "new" is usually old one, but people tend to forget, which the ones who are more concerned about our past successfully use in marketing purposes. Not long ago I discovered some charm bracelets from
https://www.tiara.com.sg/collections/luxe-braceletsand decided to order one to check the quality because it looked very beautiful meanwhile the price was actually affordable. Enjoyed the quality and the total outlook of this jewelry.
I usually use this store in order to make gift for my close people, because this jewelry items are truly qualitative
rule #1 is get a nice watch.
If you're worried about losing your "real man" status when you get married, I can't recommend silicon bands strongly enough. Because they do not contain precious metals they are not technically "jewelry", so you won't become gay if you put it on like you would with a metallic ring.

Is it ok for an old bald guy to wear an inconspicuous little god earring, like Mr. Clean? I also noticed that Morgan Freeman wears an earring while I was watching his show about different religious traditions. I thought it looked pretty good on him, but maybe a guy needs a certain amount of stature or personal gravitas to pull that off effectively.

Have you seen the Johnny Depp commercial where he buries all his jewelry in the desert? Once you have the perfect perfume you can go without jewelry. Not before.
Sincerely, thank you. I have never understood that stupid advert until now.

Basically no rules as long as it looks good... I subscribe to the following as a working lawyer
Watch, wedding ring, necklace (generally worn under your shirt), 1 classic and understated bracelet. Think thin wrapped chord, simple strand of beads, skinny silver cuff. Basically, if you are thinking about it too much, you are overdoing it.
.
Looks like you thought about it too much!
Same as anything. You gotta have style to back up any outfit. Authenticity.
Women are generally going to be less critical and more positive on you trying to look nice, as an above poster related. Men will cut you down or make fun of you if you seem to be reaching. Unless they're self conscious about status, in which case they'll make fun of you for not having expensive enough things.
People still wear watches?

‘Fashion’-wise? You can wear a tasteful watch, ring, simple thin necklace, bracelet, and if you’re under 30 earrings.
‘Real men’-wise? Wear whatever you want. Douse yourself in necklaces and earrings if you’d like, rings on every finger. You make the call on your own presentation.
I usually wear nothing, maybe a very thin necklace once every few weeks. I do not care about what other men are wearing. Taste is subjective, style is not rigid, and individuality should be celebrated rather than conformed.
