However, other than Reekie & Koko I believe she has the fastest 800m in the field (2:00.43). She kicked down Hull for the NCAA win and almost get herself to Doha. So yes, she certainly has a chance to be the top American.
Yep. She did fine with no altitude training (as far as I know) last year. She closed faster than the rest of the field (including Houlihan) at outdoor nationals last year despite running much of the last lap in lane 2. I don't think she has much experience running against other high-level women, but she is a rising star and has a ton of raw talent.

- another super run for Heather MacLean, just a 4:17/1500 runner coming out of Amherst College in 2018 - another graduate of a small Eastern school who has blossomed as a pro - you could say she is the next Elle Purrier

Purrier's run today likely will change the face of the Oly Trials 1500 - would be hard for her to pass it up in favor of the 5k as she did last year. Expect her to enter both and if she makes the 1500 team, drop the 5k.

Given the recent "legalization" of the VaporFly shoe design, entire field (don't know who rabbit is) could be under 4:30. Rivers & Jones are in striking distance of taking down Jenny Simpson's 4:25.91 indoor collegiate record.
