He has an extreme stamina built by ~3 hours of soccer everyday in the streets of his city when he was young. He also has a devastating max speed ( he can run a 11 flat 100m)

So it's not surprising that he can handle workout like that with such a low training volume.

He did his first ever altitude training in October 2019 and he started core training in December 2018 so I think he still has a big margin to improve !

He finished school in 2019 so now he can fully invest in running and he's going to Kenya in 2020 to train with Wanders

The race has world label so it's measured by the iaaf, and Julien Wanders ran his European Record here in 2018, so European Athletics also measured it. Stoop saying dumb things please, the race is even harder considering that there are a lot of hills and narrow streets.

If true, could soon become top 10 in the world from 3-10000. Already faster than Jakob in the 10.

Honestly, Jakob would beat him over any distance (the 10k that Jakob ran was a tempo with the 3 last km all out, in a real race, he could run under 27:30 without problems) the only chance of Gressier to beat Jakob for the moment is XC.

But the thing is that Gressier only has 4 years of real training and he only began to live like a pro this year, so he will still improve a lot. He also ran a big session on the road before European xc 2k 2k 3k 2K and 2*400 or something like that and he ran the 3k in 7:50 in this session. He will try to run half marathon and he'll likely go to world half in march

If Wanders' ran 27:25 here last year then ran a 59:13 half shortly thereafter, Gressier could be good for a 59:45 now. Not too shabby methinks.

Here's what wiki says about Gressier, maybe he added it himself, as he seems to be an prat falling jokester type.

That wiki page seems to not have been updated in a while looking at those PBs. He ran 3:37 & 13:23 this year.

It also says a lot of sh*t, he never won anything in the u20, he won 3 European u23 xc and 2 on the track, etc...

W12: 73km (euro XC champs qualifications)

W13: 80km (XC "Cross de l'Acier")

W14: 95km

W15: 43km (Euro XC champs)

W16: 43km (5 days rest)

W17: 120km

W18: 71 km (10km in 27:43 at Corrida de Houilles)

Average weekle mileage: 103km (64 miles)

Yeah he did 3 weeks in font-romeu, that's his first ever training camp. You can see that he's still not running a lot of mileage with consistency. I think that if he can build up to 180km a week every week, he'll improve a lot his marks.

No, and i don't even bother watching the race.

He didn't quite fall, was more of a sliding celebration like in football but it failed.

Now I see how rumours of low mileage in pro runners comes about...

If you ignore the weeks where he is either racing or cutting down in preparation for the euro champs (including week 16 where he had 5 days rest!) Gressier is clearly averaging 120km a week and closer to 80mpw. Not 64.

It's true bro, I know him personally and I can tell you that he didn't lie, he was only running 6/7 times a week when he won at Samorin u23 european xc. He's extremly talented bro, he doesn't need a lot of mileage to be good, so if he can build up his mileage to 100 one day, he'll be even faster !
