25.50 FAT plus a desire to run the 800? You better believe a LOT of college coaches would find this very attractive.
It is attractive but it is not big money. 24.0 is money or 2:10 is money.
Your daughter must go after the college. SHE must recruit them.
Parents stay out of it.

if she goes division one, she will end up hating running before her 25th birthday which is quite sad as running can and should be a lifetime of enjoyment.
coaches need and want cross country kids!

3 season girls get the financial aid.
XC, indoor, outdoor + good grades = money.
SAT and ACT = write them early and write them often. (twice each)

Except that the vast majority of football teams don’t actually bring in money. Short of Trevor Lawrence, Tua, Joe burrow, and other major stars at top 10ish football schools, no college athlete is bringing their school any money. That’s not really the point of the scholarship.

A girl running 25.5 and 2:15 shows potential. As a high school sophomore though that's all it is to a college coach, potential. A lot can and often does happen in the way of physical changes over the next few years.

200 is the best of those times but not a sprinting sensation. There’s some potential but coaches don’t sign potential. Still, there’s enough for consideration for a non-top 30 school walk on. Maybe even some help if they really are in need of recruits or a new program.

21 sophomore girls in the US broke 2:12 last year.
25.5-58-2:15 is getting close to the top, especially if not training year round.
With the right training and some good fortune in terms of physical maturity that could turn into 25 - 55 - 2:05 by the time she graduates. I would love to coach an 800 girl that has 25.5 speed as a sophomore.

No senior girl broke 2:06 last year. More than 100 sophomores ran 2:15 or faster. Vegas put out the odds as 100-1 that the OP will ever run 2:05. Sorry but that is how math works.
Camille Davre ran 2:09 in high school and was 2nd at state XC. She is nowhere near a full athletic scholarship.

If she actually runs 25.50 FAT--not hand-timed with from a running start--then that's very good speed for someone who sees herself as a mid-d runner. 2:00-flat isn't impossible off of speed like that.
The fastest senior last year in the nation only ran 2:06. I have 3 girls who ran 25.5 or faster on the high school team. So you are telling me that they can go 1-2-3 in the nation in the 800? I have been doing a terrible job coaching I guess.`

There's a difference between saying something is "not impossible" and saying that it's probable. And even if an athlete has the tools, it's still unlikely they reach their peak in HS. Obviously most girls would run 25.5 are sprinter types who just aren't suited to the 800meters. I don't think we know where the OP's young lady falls.
Well to say something is possible that nobody even came close to last year is just silly. It is not like you said it is possible for one of the 100 girls who ran 2:15, you said it is not impossible for this one girl. It is possible that Engels breaks the 1500 world record in 2020. That is more likely than this particular girl ever running 2 flat. But if I made that prediction here, there would be 10 pages of responses telling me that it is impossible. I believe there has only been 1 girl in history to break 2.
