Rob, What are the differences between the MaxRoad 4 vs Ride 8 in your experience? When (or for what reason) do you have a preference for one versus the other? Also, how is sizing of both versus the Razor 3? I'm thinking about buying one but struggling with which one I should try. I'd be using it for easy runs plus possibly long runs. Thanks!

I currently rotate the MaxRoad 4 and Ride 8 for daily training with the Razor 3 for faster stuff and the Speed 6 for races. I love all of them. Hyperburst is the real deal folks. I mix in the Forza 3 and Balance Anchor on days that I need more stability, but those aren't hyperburst (flightgen/ultra flight).
I wear 11 in the Razor 3, 10.5 in the MR4 and GRR8. All are roughly the same length.
The MaxRoad has more stack and is better for longer/easier runs. Even though it is technically lighter than the GRR8, I did not enjoy speedwork in it outside of the occasional fartlek or tempo on a treadmill. Fast turns on a track are a huge no-no with the way the upper is. It is extremely comfortable though and great for easy/recovery/long runs. My legs always feel great during and after running in them.
The GRR8 is my do everything shoe. They can handle anything from mile repeats at 5K pace to easy long runs. I would still grab the max roads first if I knew I was staying easy throughout. But if there is a chance that I may throw in a pickup somewhere on a 'normal' run, I opt for the GRR8.
I wear the Razor 3s if I know for sure I'm doing track work or something similar. I actually raced in them for nearly a full year from mile - 5mile with a lot of success. The Speed 6 is just better though for racing. I would continue to race in the Razor though if it was longer than 10K.
