“What’s the reward for being a whistleblower?” she said. “What’s the reward of coming forward? You’re hated. You’re vilified. You’re made to look like a jealous, crazy person. And then what?”
Seems she got that right with most of you folks.

I dunno. Everyone is quick to point the finger in these doping allegations, but who is really taking responsibility for their own beliefs in the mythical qualities of these pharmacological preparations?
Let me guess, you will avoid the issue too right? Too uncomfortable to have your own psyche probed like that?

She was the one who introduced Brown to Salazar! She is patient zero of Dr FrankenBrown! She was the original guinea pig. C'mon, try and keep up.
It took this for her to find peace? Once the slower runners found out the dope works, they caught up to the faster runners. Once the faster runners realized this, they put their hands into the pot as well. Now we're back to where we started again. We all have a choice, either do doping, or don't. If you think everything is going to come to a screeching halt because of Salazar, then I got news for you, its not. I can assure you that at least half the racing world dopes. If it's not for you, then move on. There will always be cheaters, no matter how hard the sport tries to clean it up. Too many complexities in running today, it's not the same anymore, Example:
Is he a guy or a girl?, I don't want to compete with this person, he/she is not a girl.
This person wins all the time, he/she must be doing something different. It's just not fair!
Look at that muscular physique, what's going on.
Technology and new ways to win have infiltrated the running world, and once something new comes along, it will be tried.

Uh huh, right.

She completely misunderstand the "hate." Sure a small select people don't like for speaking out but most people simply don't trust her about her time under Salazar and if she used Dr. Brown.

It is sourced in old articles pre-controversy, where she was proud of this link.
Sorry, not to be prickish, but I don't understand what you mean, can you please restate it?

Also, she's all about herself and $$$$$, trying to stay relevant as if she's so important. Anyone who thinks that she's completely innocent...
flake.
read the article, it will clarify.
Read this.... wtf is she on about?
Still not understanding what Salazar actually did except this vague "stuff".

Yes, I am a flake indeed.
The OP has an article attached to it. Patty is saying that you might try reading it and find some clarification.
I find it odd that she couldn't find peace until this ban was released. Don't let the downfall of another be the source of your emotional health.

Because she wants to take credit for believing that she was the catalyst for taking him down and she wanted everyone to know that...staying relevant. Now she believes that people will believe her and they will want to talk to her, therefore she will be relevant again...for a little while anyways.
I've read the article, Kara Goucher wants her cake and eat it too. If she had said something from the very, very beginning, then maybe she'd have a leg to stand on. After her parties over and Nike dismisses her, then she's the town crier.
That's not brave, that's a coward who didn't do the right thing till "she" was affected...Nike saying hit the road.

Weird flex but OK, Jon.
I’ve been turned off by Kara’s actions in the past. Specifically I didn’t like what she said about the 4%’s after the 2016 trials. Also not a huge fan of how outspoken she’s been against Nike. That said I’m so confused by the hate on this article. A few facts below
- she says she can’t judge anyone on the team for possible doping besides Galen
- hints that it’s probable many folks on the team aren’t doping
- didn’t put anything out until after worlds
- left the team shortly after she saw things she knew weren’t right
- admits that Salazar was someone she loved at one time, tried to confront him directly, only when he didn’t respond did she take it further
- not harboring any resentment on other athletes that didn’t come out at first
- glad that USADA got this far, thinks there is much more too it but doesn’t dwell on it (she decided to work it directly with USADA and not directly involve the media/public a few years back)
- yes it’s normal that she has a sense of peace now!! I imagine this was a really really shitty thing to go through
What do you guys want here? Her to admit she cheated? What if she didn’t? Why would Shalane embrace her as a training partner if she cheated? If she cheated, why did she leave? (No I don’t buy the Alberto breakup excuse. By all accounts it was a fatherly relationship as Kara’s father died when she was very young) If she was cheating, how was she able to carry her success out of training with NOP? Yes she is old now but did have several successful years after Alberto.

She seem extremely unstable dude, she’s always mad, yelling or crying in interviews. I wonder what her breaking point was with Nike and NOP for her to turn her back on them and make up a lot of the allegations that she had?

1. The author is completely jaded .
2. Kara was ground zero for Dr Brown referrals
3. High Horse Jenny wanted in on Dr Brown as well
