    Dalilah might be able to get a little better, but no one with an IQ over 90 would argue she's got more room for improvement than Syd does. Syd's gonna gain a full second just by getting her steps more consistent, and cleaning up her hurdle form.

    But the OP is correct. By next summer, Sydney will be blowing Dalilah away. She'll be routinely sub-52, and she'll probably end up a lot faster that.

    No way Dalilah will be able to match the 51.4 Syd'll be running in another two years. She'll consistently be looking at Syd's back for the rest of her career if she sticks around much longer.

    I am also befuddled as to why anyone would think/imagine that Mohammed should retire.

    She is a former world record holder and gave us a thrill after smashing a 15 year old world record. She's ten years older than Sydney and for that, with all her achievement vis a vis Sydney, I give her more kudos.

    I don't understand this retirement thing. I seriously don't.

    She's far and away the only serious challenger to Mclaughlin. I've never found her boring. How can a beautiful, intelligent woman with amazing speed be boring? I've enjoyed watching her for several years and look forward to future head to heads with Sydney. It will be the greatest thing in women's sprints.
