Agree. She's a fantastic athlete, and a very smart runner. She was never going to be able to go out with the African doper without blowing up. Silver is Gold in these circumstances.

How was this a huge upset? She already won bronze at Worlds 4 years ago. She ran a PR in the 3000SC and then a PR and world best in the 2000SC a month ago. And in previous years she has always been in peak shape for the season's highlight. She was definitely one of the medal hopefuls.

I don't understand why people are acting like this was a surprise. She's been around for a while now. She has qualified for the steeple final in the last 5 world championships.

GK has been a contender for a long time. She got taken out at the last WC by Chepkoech at the last WC when Chepkoech was chasing after the water barrier boo boo.
