I think she is definitely the most accomplished ever. I don't know who would even come close. Anika came to mind. But I would put Serena ahead of her. Marion Jones could compare if she wasn't a drug cheat.

Women's tennis doesn't have any real athletes. Not one of them looks like a top athlete in T and F. At a track meet, Williams would look like a spectator, not a competitor. Too many hamburgers.
Coco Gauff could run, Steffi Graff (not the professional runner with the same name) was a very good runner. Serena would dominate the discus.
Graf was an athlete and fast, but she was playing more than a quarter of a century ago. Serena would be good at mud-wrestling - and maybe hog-calling, because I've never heard anyone scream like her.
You are now at 4 posts without naming someone as an alternative answer to the question posed. Well done.

There are some morans here who can't even see that she is the best female tennis player of all time, let alone best woman in any individual sport. Frankly, the base here is pretty ignorant when it comes to general sports discussions, and you shouldn't expect to have a productive and informed talk on any non-running sports. This includes one of the founders who incorrectly fancies himself a sports guy.
You left out the "panic room" incident, when she ducked the drug testers. Her dominance over her peers has probably been achieved the same way that anyone else acquires prolonged dominance in professional sport nowadays. 38 and still going strong.

The question was about Williams; the answer is no. Feel free to name anyone else you like.

Monica Seles was the GOAT screamer.
I haven't watched women's tennis in years, but I caught part of her match because it was on TV at the restaurant I was at. I remember when she was younger, the last time I saw her play, I did not find Serena attractive. She looked very nice this weekend. Not only is she the most dominant female athlete ever, she's the rare woman who has gotten more attractive with age.

In order for the answer to be "no" there would have to be someone better. Yet you are incapable of naming one so you haven't supported your "no".

I left out something of little relevance to the question, by your own admission. Oh no.
Yes.

I didn't say it was of little relevance or I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Hopefully the bold text can assist you in figuring out how you asserted that doping has little relevance in the discussion about the most dominant individual female athlete ever.

In order for the answer to be "no" all that is required is for the answer to be "no". It doesn't require either elaboration or alternatives.
Marit Bjørgen. No competition.
(she is the woman with the muscles you always makes fun of)

It's always dismaying when dimness postures as cleverness. The comment in bold says nothing of the kind of what you think it says. It says the opposite of what you have chosen to infer, that doping is largely the explanation for a dominance like hers, as it is in most sports. You may not agree with that point of view but it would help if you understood what you think you are taking issue with.
Rosie Ruiz coulda been a contender. Her mistake was rather then taking steroids she took a taxi.
When you factor in longevity at or near the top of her sport, #1 is Serena by a huge margin.

If all dominance is due to doping then quibbling about doping is of little relevance when comparing dominant athletes. It's not that hard to understand.
Women's tennis has had many dominant players. Serena is certainly the most powerful athlete of that elite group, and overall may deserve to be considered the best, but I don't think her career accomplishments or overall "dominance" stand much if at all above the other all time greats. Consider:
Graf - Won 22/54 slams, SF or better 37/54
Evert - Won 18/56 slams, SF or better 52/56
Navratilova - Won 18/67 slams, SF or better 44/67
Seles (pre-stabbing) - Won 8/14 slams, SF or better 10/14
Serena - Won 23/73 slams, SF or better 38/73
I also think the field has been weak the last 10+ years.
