Not natural weight loss. Sifan Hassan was built like she could have been a dancing model in a Robert Palmer music video six plus years ago. Now? Ronnie Lott was told his broken finger would take the entire season to heal. Ronnie Lott had 1/2 of one of his fingers amputated to play football games. What drastic measures did Sifan Hassan suffer to earn Olympic medals?
I agree that she’s too skinny. I don’t think she’s doping. Hopefully, she can get her weight back to a better place and become less obsessive about winning races. She’s an incredible athlete, but when is enough enough?

I actually don’t think she’s blatantly doping (EPO, steroids, etc.) either, but she’s definitely on thyroid medication and/or other weight control medication which may not be “legal” per se.
Suzy Favor Hamilton apparently got a breast reduction to further her athletics career. To get one though, you are supposed to not doing anything for 4-6 weeks after surgery. I can’t see Hassan not running for that long unless forced by injury.
Most likely it’s thyroid meds.

I don't think so. One reason she's so thin is because she observes Ramadan for one month each year, during peak training

Are we sure thyroid medication is even a bad thing for distance runners at this point? I’ve read that running the mileage that all these runners do basically makes their bodies break down, they get ill, and their thyroids go haywire. The thyroid medication allows them to function normally. Does anybody care that elite distance runners take this?
