Yea, well I wasn't doing >70 miles a week when I was a kindergardener.

I remember listening to Arthur Lydiard talking about how running shoes were hurting distance runners. He was a promoter of running barefoot, citing the Kenyans as evidence. He claimed that shoes took away from the natural workings of the foot.
Didn't learn how to spell either unless you mean junior gardening school.
i just started doing barefoot running. I used to run like a cool down once or twice a week barefoot on the track Lately I had such a bad shin splint I had to back off and the first run over 3 miles i was able to do was a 4 mile barefoot run without pain.. I think the free's are a marketing gimic I think running barefoot on grass is something that could help everyone. But the Free;s are a shoe and will be amazing for some and horrible for others. Personally I wear orthotics with my trainers and would be reluctant to give them up for just free's because its not the same as barefoot its still a damn shoe.
have had mine for about a month now... am up to 10 miles in them and absolutely love em
have done one track workout 10 x 400 last nite in them and they worked well, I would prob. buy a half size smaller for track work and keep my 10's for road stuff
i am doing around 50 of my 75 per week in the frees. am going to work up to running my Fall marathon prep long runs in them by Oct.
Van, the real question is -- how does Oliver like them?
