Virtually all of the decathletes listed above are 6'2" or 6'1", except the taller Trey Hardee and Rico Freimuth (both at 6'5") and the incomparable Bryan Clay, who is generously listed as 5'11" but in reality is closer to 5'10" than 5'11".
Matt Boling does not yet have the meat on his bones yet, but all these guys take a few years to pack on the throwing / vaulting muscle.

3" is much taller. You go from ~1% height guy to a .01% guy.
Figuring out how much someone will improve is a crap shoot. If you go down the all time top 10 lists you will find a mixture of all time greats and whatever happened to x. Guy needs to get .2-.3s faster if he is going to be a medal threat. That is at the level of hard but doesn't stretch beleivablility. Getting down 9.7 though would require some crazy levels of improvement.

Not in the sprint community. Here, he is seen as the latest in an annual succession of interesting high school athletes, and no more.
Actually less—because he’s white, his 100m upside is seen as limited, among the mostly black sprint community (yes I speak for everyone?).
But he is getting more serious attention as a sprinter than he would have gotten before the likes of CL and Guliyev, much like Tortu.
His prospects are seen as best in the LJ and the 200, because he’s white and “that’s where whites can be good”.
And history bears that out in the 200: Mennea, CL, Guliyev. Yes I know, Mennea, Wells, CL, Osovnikar, Borzov, Hary, now Guliyev, Erasmus, and Tortu.
Just tellin’ it like it is seen here in the sprint community. My personal belief is equivocal: like other HS standouts, we will see. Good luck to him

Your nervous system does not reach maturity until around 25. This is a very important note for sprinters.
That being said there are a whole host of things that can happen to be in his favor or not so you just don’t know. But, saying his body has completely matured is wrong.

So you are stating it is natural to gain sprinting speed up to age twenty-five without even trying. Show evidence please. There's a reason why military draft age is 18. If a nation's military can get away with it, all militaries prefer front line troops far younger than 18. Infant ry. The natural state is for an individual to be in awful shape by age twenty-five. I naturally improved sprinting speed without trying to age 15. How about you?

Most HS standouts never become world beaters. Only a handful of your people have ever been world beaters in athletics, so you don't have a lot of room for your attacks on people you hate for ethnic reasons, you crypto racist.
Both the level and the range of times make him noteworthy, 100-200-400-LJ, national class in every one of them for college athletes already.
I haven't' been on the message boards in probably 10 years because of the negativity and trolling by what the literal "haters."

I think you would have to give it to Dolt, he has untouchable WR’s in 2 of those 3 events, and a 45.28 from 2007, before he got good.

Even if Bolt was a sec faster in 400 -44.28 his 100-200-400 times would add up to 73.05. Niekerk is at 72.81 seconds for all three.
