There have been past posts about rape.
Why did a presumably female poster question why the woman in Utah should be charged when she outright lied?
Why is it ok in her mind to lie?
No one on this board promotes rape.
No one that I know of, and if they do, I hope they are banned.

I'm not saying it's not a tragedy, but why the hell does a running website have multiple posts at once on this relatively rare crime and almost zero posts about the thousands upon thousands of rapes occurring???

a) the FBI estimated in the 90s that 8% of allegations were fraudulent (not just lacking in evidence)
b) The prosecution rate for rape allegations is conjectured at 37% in USA (eg National Violence Against Women Survey), and the conviction rate (I assume you include guilty pleas?) is about half of those (18%). The NVAWS then furtherly multiplied by a factor of 10x to estimate "unreported rapes", and concluded 3.4%. Even with that methodology [the problem with the 10x guess is that it is inferred from a question that leads a respondent to aggrandize sexual assault and/or violence to rape], this still is quite significantly higher than your "around 1%" talking point.

a) The “Making a Difference” Project, which used data collected by law enforcement agencies over 18 to 24 months, found 7 percent of cases that were classified as false. That study is the “only research conducted in the U.S. to evaluate the percentage of false reports made to law enforcement,” according to the National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women.
b) The graphic showed a rape reporting rate of 10 percent, but that is relatively low. Using the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey statistics from 2008 to 2012, the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network estimated 40 percent of rapes get reported to the police. This is close to the 2013 criminal victimization rates, which estimated 35 percent of rape or sexual assault cases are reported.

But on what level compared to someone falsely accused? There are psychological consequences, but the victim doesn't lose everything. Those who are falsely accused deal with more physical and mental effects in the long run.

not to the level that it's an issue that begs to pushed to forefront on a running forum while pretty much ignoring rape cases by the thousands. It's just fking weird and reeks of agendizing crime.
People make false accusations all the time for all sorts of crimes, but LRC just seems to laser focus in on rape and hate crimes.

I posted (a reply) about the woman killed in NYC in 2016 (The Italian girl who was 30 and was supposed to be jogging with her father).
I also know someone who claims to have been raped when she was 11.
This would have been in 1988 or 89. I do believe her.
I have brought it up with her more than once that I will go to the police with her so she can fill out a statement.
I've told her that by not doing this she is allowing a rapist to possibly roam free, even though this was 30 years ago and the chances of finding them may be remote at best.
She chooses not to report it and I no longer bring it up with her.
Can't say she is helping herself at all.
That is one of the many things so great about the USA, due process, you are considered Innocent until PROVEN GUILTY, no one in the USA would ever go to Jail on an Accusation, If this had happened in the USA, the guy who helped fix her car would NEVER have gone to jail, and the Girl who made the FALSE ALLEGATION likely would have gone to jail. In Fact American Prosecutors see it as unethical to try a case where there is not enough proof to likely get a conviction.

None of them had to face cross examination. One of the women came forward within statute of limitation. Constance-something. Even after the so-called event of rape, Constance-something went to a Cosby family X-Mass party. Was Cosby case proven? If so, what is the evidence?

One of the worst things about this board is that so many people think "evidence" means "proof." You already said what the evidence was in your post: the testimonies of thirty women.
