I would think one part of the puzzle if getting the proper mind-set. Jordan Hasay is a runner who was battling mental issues she overcame that finally got her past being really frustrated when she lost, which was not helping her.

I always say there are three major things that contribute to athletic success: talent, training, and the right combination of PEDS. Obviously, the part that I’m involved in provides the greatest benefit.

Cynicism with a sense of humour. It always amuses me that huge gains are typically put down to coaching, nutrition, a new training programme and a great work ethic - as though a million other athletes don't have any of that.

Most of the PED complainers are actual PED users who have failed to become the champions they so desperately want to be despite their personal drug usage. They are failures who take their failings out on others.

I can understand you being upset about doubts being raised as to your wife's performance and progression, which no doubt is incredible if clean, and an incredible achievement on your part as her coach, but.... is it really 'sick' to be sceptical about it in the light of the recent bust of the half-marathon WR holder who showed a similarly remarkable improvement. Again, I understand your frustration if you know her to be a clean athlete, but surely it's the sad state of doping in athletics that warrants that scepticism?

Pressups (and Jama Aden holding a stopwatch) are essentials.
PEDs work, if someone does make huge jumps in performances, you should be suspicious. One of the best examples of what rocket fuel does to a ok runner is Cathal Lombard.
