How about Jim Walmsley 50 Miler? That is easily got to be up there with these two records. M I Right?

mile.
we're really just starting to see real talent in the marathon. marathon is still relatively untapped, which is why we have random buys running 2:02 and 2:03.
Kipchoge.
Extrapolate out time Of second best milerto marathon.. Even closer if compare 1500m

Both due to 'technological advances', neither are that impressive once you factor them in. The world records haven't actually improved much since the 60s and 70s.
You're obviously not a runner and have "0" clue of how hard it is to become a world record holder.
IDIOT!!!

Nobody has gone near that record in the last 10 years....where do you draw that conclusion?
His 1500 WR is better than his mile WR and people have been really close to that.
Noah Ngeny was only .27 seconds behind in the mile WR he set.
I can actually think of another reason in my mind for those random 2:02/2:03guys.
I'm actually surprised that the busted half marathon wr holder didn't blame his oatmeal yet.

...or toothpaste.
Obviously the mile as the marathon world record has been set like 10 times since El G ran his 3:43. And hardly anyone has run even 3:46-3:47

That's correct with a time of 7:53.63. Though Boulami's rocket fueled time of 7:53.17 was flushed, it still hasn't been beaten after 17 yrs. It's the same argument that could be made that El G's WRs were aided by doping and that he just didn't get caught like so many of his comrades did (e.g., Ramzi, Boulami, Mourhit, Kaouch, Laâlou, Goumri, etc).
Stupid question: Kipchoge has repeatedly demosntrated he's the GOAT, and he will probably break his own WR this Fall again in Berlin. While 1500m record is the WR, it's easier to repeat than the WR marathon. Plus, it's probable that the 1500m WR was dope aided.
If Kipchoge manages to run a sub 2hr marathon then he will be considered in my opinion to be the GOAT runner. Nothing anyone does at any other distance will matter.
7:20 - no other record comes close.

This answers the question.
His mile WR is by far the weaker of his 2 WR's, and people having been come very close to his better 1500m WR for the last decade.
Of course a marathon record is more impressive. A lot more can go wrong in 2 hours than 4 minutes. Try to not go wrong for 2 hours running is a lot more difficult.

Looks like he’s not running Berlin so that’s unlikely
Naw that's just the usual Banana Bread talk (read: nonsense). He's fine, from a medical perspective. He's kinda like Trump in that regard.

No they haven't.
