Are you one of those guys with rhinestones on the back pockets of your jeans??
Yup, and boot cut worn with Jordans.

You know it. And I rock a pink leopard print shirt on top. Which usually gets ripped off within five or so minutes after I get to the club.
I haven't worn jeans in over a year. Jeans are for boomers
I only wear jeans when not wearing shorts in summer. I love the 501s. Im 46 and in my profession ( gulf of mexico), FRs coveralls and FR jeans are only thing allowed to wear. Carhartt makes good jeans also.
Now, I dont wear jorts
I spend a decent amount of money on clothing, but designer jeans just seem like a waste. The whole point of jeans is to have something to throw on when you aren't trying to look nice. Jeans are for doing yard work or lounging around the house on a Saturday. They're basically one step above scrubs, and I'm sure as hell not about to pay $200 for a pair of scrubs.
I buy used Levis on ebay for $10/pair because I’m cheap and I know that 510s are a guaranteed good fit on me.

These days, just like everyone else I know, when I want jeans I look to a designer brand. Wearing a pair of AGs as I type this. Pretty sure I haven't even thought about Levi's in at least a decade.
So I was somewhat surprised to read just now that this morning, Levi's IPO'd. The brand seems, from my perspective, largely irrelevant in 2019.
Do you still buy the company's products?
Ha! "Designer jeans" LOL! Nothing gets between you and your Calvins.
I wear Levi's, because they are good quality, fit good, and have a time tested authenticity about them. I currently buy the 513 slim fit (slim, not skinny). Levi's slim fit chinos are also great, since I don't only wear jeans.
I hate trendy fashions. I tend to dress in modern fitting clothes, with a more conservative not trendy style. Jeans can be worn with a T shirt, polo, collared shirt, and even dressed up with a sport coat.
Levi's is still very relevant.
Correction... I meant 511
I was never a jeans wearer to begin with. Always gone more towards the casual pants, such as khakis (chinos, whatever you want to call them). Jeans never seemed to fit me right and I found them to be heavy and not very comfortable, overall.
A few years back I found a pair of "outdoor" pants (with NO side pocket that you often see on these types of pants) at Eddie Bauer. Best pants I've owned. Lightweight, stretch, etc. Can wear them to work with a dress shirt and wear them out casually. Can wear them on the trails hiking. When traveling, don't have to pack a lot.
I gave up on Levi's years ago. Proudly rocking my JNCOs

Acid wash jorts
I am 61 and wear Levi's, fit fine and work for me. I am straight.

Agreed that brand is stupid. I buy for feel, fit, and fashion. Levi's, I associate with thick rough denim, dyed a fairly bright blue and without much detail, and with more or less straight-cut sides that are not at all form fitting.
I could be entirely wrong about the brand in its current state -- as I said, it's been a long time since I even knew they were still in business -- but that's why I stopped looking at them.
You should get out of your cave once in awhile.
You're being a bit too precious here. I mean who TF doesn't know Levi's is still in business?
Being from the Frisco Bay Area, I'm loyal to the hometown jean company. Even though Levi's Stadium sucks.
Besides workout clothes, dress pants, and PJs, they're the only pants I wear

Your perspective is in the minority. Levi's is doing very well - keep in mind that almost half the sales come from Europe and Asia, where it is considered a premium brand
https://www.marketing91.com/top-18-jeans-brands-in-the-world/And unlike in the US, malls in Asia are not dying, they are getting bigger and more extravagant and that's where people buy their clothes. Just about every major city in Asia has 3-4 malls that are bigger than any in the US and Levi's stores are prominent.

This is the first I've heard of Levi's being irrelevant. Good quality denim I thought would never really be out of style, maybe different cuts of the jeans fade in and out of style but jeans are jeans amiright?
Levi's have been wearing out really fast for me, when I was a kid they didnt seem to. Now a pair of Levi's lasts maybe a year when in rotation with a few other pairs, and I only need to wear them about half of the year. So that is about 40 wears per pair before they start to tear. I wouldn't call that short of a life "quality denim."
I bought two pairs of wranglers a few weeks ago, I'm trying them out now and see how their longevity is. Initially impression is that they are far more comfortable. Time will tell with the durability.

Pretty sure that is the last pair I purchased. I also still have a pair of very worn and broken-in 501 button-flys that are my favorite pair of pants ever. They were so faded I recently dyed them back to a darker blue. They are 8 - 10 years old and fit great.
I'm 48 and don't wear jeans as much as I used to but I still like my Levis.
