I think you're right around sub 5. It might take a few races , but unless you killed yourself on that workout, I think you probably could break 5.

That happens to most people who run on a track/circlular route. Go by the time you got if you know it's an accurate route rather than pace.
When you ran that 10:50, what were your splits?
The Garmin has trouble tracking the oval of the track, because of the sharp turns. Your Garmin will almost always show a little bit longer of a distance, which gives you a faster pace. Mine shows .52 for the 800. You have to go by time when you're running on the track, or your paces will actually be slower than what you think.
