You can find it at almost any Fleet Feet store. Since you are in Florida, the closest one to you is in Georgia. I could get you one from a Fleet Feet store in my town.
Love ya lover
If you go to Fleet Feet make sure you buy something...
I had the worst experience at a store near where I work. I went in on two occasions as I was looking for a new pair of shoes. The first time I went in I wound up not even looking at shoes much I got into a long discussion with the sales guy about running and racing and the like and was very impressed with his knowledge and personality, unfortunately I got paged and had to get back to work. A couple of days later I went in and started looking at a few pairs of shoes. I again was helped by a good salesperson... I left the store considering my options and fully intending to come back because once again I had spent a little too much time discussing and had to get back for a meeting. I must note here that both times I was there I was the only person in the store... However on my way out I was approached by the manager who said to me "Hey wait up what do we have to do to get you to buy a pair of shoes?" we have spent all this time with you and you haven't bought anything... I stammered out that I would be back because I was shocked at his obvious implication that I was wasting their time and that he acted like a used car-salesman... I will never go back there after that treatment. I probably would have bought a few pairs of shoes there as I usually do when I find a store I like. I have been buried at work but coming out from under the pile and am thinking of writing up something to them and their corporate entity... ggrrrr makes me Mad
Anyway sorry for the rant just set me off

I just ordered "Running within: A guide to mastering the body mind spirit connection for ultimate training and racing" by Jerry Lynch and Warren Scott
and "Running Tough" by Mike Sandrock. Both of these look good and are on the Letsrun.com recomended read list.
ofcourse my favorite book so far is once a runner with a close second with running with the buffs.
I must say Running Within is a great book. I read that and gained huge amounts of confidence. I was more motivated to train and didn't doubt myself during races. I also ran huge pr's in every distance. Definitely an effective book.
anybody have any comments on any of lydiard's books?
i've been looking to get one.
I've only had good experience with Fleet Feets. Which Fleet Feet did you have that experience at AM Runner? Just out of curiosity.
is this peak performance related to the online subscription to the peak performance newsletter?
Thirsty,
I put the author and publisher down for you. Check your local library, or if you are interested in purchasing you might be able to find it at abebooks.com Good luck, it is a great find!
I'm amazed that no one's mentioned Shorter's auto bio "Olympic Gold" Read it in highschool and it changed my outlook on training, racing, and running. "Once a Runner" is the best though, along with the "Purple Runner", Training in London sounds appealing after reading that one.
"PAIN" is a sweet book.
My vote goes for "The Lonely Breed" by former Aussie distance great Ron Clarke and Norman Harris, which was mentioned early in this thread. Anyone who enjoys the history of distance running will love this book.
Kiwis Can Fly
Marlton, NJ... as I said though the salesfolks there were great I was just blown away by the management... I had always heard good things about them which is why I went in in the first place.
