Lots of men over 50 have ran their age over 400, but it is such a high level of fitness that no way would they bother seriously with an unathletic sport like golf.

Tiger will do it at 62.

I used to train with a triathlete/golf pro named Jay Larson, who was a sub-15 5K guy and a scratch golfer. (You might want to google "Jay Larson speed golf"). He ran a 2:29 800M at age 61 last year at Masters track nationals. That is equivalent to about 66-67 second 400M speed. I am sure he still is a scratch golfer and could be very close to running his age for 400M and shooting his age in a round of golf near age 70 if he was focused on it.

I shot under my age on 18 holes of Putt-Putt golf.

I had a couple of friends in college shoot their age with tequila.

If he is in any kind of shape, Steve Scott is the obvious candidate, at least in a few years.

Kim Jong Il accomplished both of these pedestrian feats before his 30th birthday.

Lol, that was an incredible story when it came out (the golf one, at least... was there actually a running version, too? or was that part a jest?)

Golf side is easy. Choose a par 3 course or course where par is low 60s. I'm not sure anyone has ever run their age in 400m. So asking for a person to do both is ridiculous when one of the two is near impossible. Unless someone can point out someone running their age for the 400m.

Well I guess I should have fact checked myself before hitting post.

So I guess 50-85WR's are all as fast or faster than their age.
