The real question is "WHY would you even post some silly slow ride with your girlfriend?" Do you actually consider that training? I think you tried to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. You rode with your girlfriend and thought you could also snag the KOMs and not be too obvious. The girlfriend part may or may not be a fabrication.

This is actually a problem on Strava though.
There are people (I'm not connected to them) who have the fastest times for segments who obviously rode a bike and mistakenly uploaded it as a run.
Is there a way to notify Strava to remove these top times?
I don't want to contact these people and tell them to delete their stuff - because I don't know them

Yes, you can flag someone's activity as wrong activity type and Strava will fix it, I've done it a few times

This happened to me the first time I tried using Strava. I've only ever used Strava a few times and the first time on bike I didn't switch from run to bike. I received a nasty little e-mail from some douchebag runner in the area that was pissed. I went and switched it and I guess it fixed it for that segment/run/whatever you call it.
I was VERY tempted to go out and run the segment just to beat him, because I could, but just don't mess with Strava anymore.

You can flag their ride/run by clicking the wrench button on the left nav, then select flag. If this is how you want to spend your time then have at it. You can also flag segments for being dangerous.

Agreed. I was notified recently that my time on a route I run recently was beat by over 3 minutes. When I checked the route, the "runner" had averaged 3 min/mile pace for the route.
Didn't bother me at all like it did OP's "friends" but it was interesting to see that Strava doesn't flag unusual run segment times as 'impossible.'

That would actually be a great feature. I quite often flag segment cheats on Strava if I can see it was obviously impossible, e.g. they've broken the 400m World Record, ran sub 4 min miles across city centre streets, 20 secs+ at sub 2:40 min mile pace. But really Strava should be able put functionality in to do that automatically...

How'd he get your email address? How'd you get his email? Isn't Strava flagging activities anonymous. It could be anyone on your feed flagging it. Biking a run and clearing CRs is very obvious.

Something like that. I was thinking moreso the inability to enter statistics that don't currently exist to begin with. For example, if you look at your standard marathon pace chart at your local running store (or online), the pace usually starts at 5 min/mile and gets slower from there. It doesn't start at 2 min/mile because that wouldn't make any sense. Plenty of programs exist out there that disallow certain inputs that don't fit into the parameters.

I don't think they're "stupid" at all, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. I've never looked at that section. I only follow a half dozen or so people on Strava so i've never been much concerned with what other people are doing in terms of PRs or WRs, only an accurate interface for myself and those I follow.
No need to delete, just change the activity type from run to ride.

OP here. I have long since changed the activity and told my friends about my mistake. The problem is that I can't convince them that I didn't ride my bike intentionally to cheat.
Tomorrow is supposed to be our group long run. I know people are still meeting to run, but they aren't answering my text messages! I think my friends blacklisted me! This whole thing has been a real bummer.
