Brazier will continue run great times but fail in big meets. I wish Sowinski would have made it. He never has a bad race. He may not have medaled but would have made the final and taken the lead before fading to 4th. Windle will come charging late only to finish 4th.
Brazier clearly has no idea what he's doing and doesn't understand the 800m. He doesn't understand his strengths nor how to respond to the different abilities of other runners. If the race isn't set up like a time trail, he is no better than the average Div 1 runner.
Brazier needs to grow his head a little bit. Learn more about the metrics of the sport; work on aerobic power and turn over. Probably should have stayed in school. It'll be 5 years before he is a serious contender for a global medal. I wonder when the letsrun team will stop giving him the hype of being the next American GOAT.

Not sure I believe this. He should have hit the front immediately, that's his style and how he runs best, like Rudisha. He didn't even go out the hardest over the first 50m before the lane gaffe.
He looked unsure and not very confident.

Very poor coaching and a really bad head on his shoulders with a non winning attitude.
He had no idea he would be DQ'd, sometimes you do slip through, run through the race no matter.
A great physical talent without a head on his shoulders.
Tactics and racing experience are easy to fix. I believe he has some mechanics that need work. Brazier looks stiff and choppy at the end of his races. Stride is long and slow; his shoulders are hunched over. Tight. Not fluid.

How is this a DQ while in the 10k last year Farah took 2 or 3 steps on the inside of the track?
I think it is hard to stay in your line running that fast indoors and it is even harder on a banked track.
He has got to be one of the biggest choke artists EVER.

Because Farah had interference. Brazier can't stand up on his own it seems.
I read earlier this week that the coach he's training with at A&M got fired. I know he’s no longer part of the team but wonder if that had played a factor on his performance?
DB had some footing and lane trouble but really he looked to flat AGAIN in a championships. He's still so young.
The WIC 2018 has been bad on the athletes giving them more problems.
That track is too steep. They should pay the people to watch it.

Except as stated in Rule 163.4, if the Referee is satisfied, on the report of a Judge or Umpire or otherwise, that an athlete has infringed this Rule, he shall be disqualified.

And when Murphy - whose training has been geared solely for outdoors this year - takes down the AR mid summer the Brazier psychophants will kick it into high gear with all kinds of rationalizations as to why Brazier is a race or two from sub 1:40. It isn’t Brazier, he’s a nice kid. But the nutt-huggers are out of control.

He’s one of the most fluid runners I’ve ever seen. He does this “over striding thing” in every race because that’s his actual stride. You might think Edwin Moses overstrides as well. The bit about Steve Holman is totally classless.
