That is the most stupid post of the year by a retard!
Really?
A candidate for a police officer's job scored a perfect score on the exam. He was denied admission when everything else about him was stellar. Reason for being denied? He was too smart.
He took his case to the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of the police force. Their reasoning: They can deny admission to those who show high intelligence because they are likely to get bored being a policeman.
Moral: You have to be stupid to be a cop.
Queen Catherine - not exactly a cop, but close... she's a prison guard, right?
Post the link to the story. I have not seen the ruling. I guess the guy was also fat and lazy as well. I guess with your name I can assume you have no job, under educated and are a thug. I base this on your theory since you assume all cops are fat lazy and stupid.
Geb's a cop. Case closed. On a lesser level, Joe Falcon instructed at police academy for a time (not sure if he was sworn) and Brian Harshmann (Bucknell alum and quite a stud a number of years back if I remember right). Theres
more than people think. Check out the results to the World Police & Fire Games to see some really fast cops.
I assumed that when I joined the force (4:11 mile) I'd
clean house at the state/national/world law enforcement games. Wrong. Cops are like firemen in that theres a large number that take their physical conditioning/training as serious if not more serious than their job. In many instances their agencies give them time to train and comp them for their travel expenses.
I've been fortunate enough to pick up entry fees and travel expenses although I wouldn't suggest becoming a cop
as the next best thing to a Nike contract.

Are you a stupid cop, too? Or just stupid? I said everything else about him was stellar.

All cops are fat, lazy and stupid. The US Supreme Court validates my point that they are all stupid. Your illogical and nonsensical response only underscores how stupid cops are.
Now run off to the donut shop and make more generalizations about someone because of his name, where he lives or his race. More examples of cop ignorance.
Who said anything about race? You must be an idiot thug.
So you just generalize based on name and place of residence. How delightful. The more you type, the more you prove just how stupid cops are.
Scott Powel out of Delaware Ohio is pretty good.
have NEVER known a black man to used the word "delightful".
You must be one of those wanna be Britney Spears husband types. Please stop, your making both races look very bad. Even worse is that you apparently share in our wonderful sport. Take up poker, asshole.

Only one problem. The story is false. Nice try.
Hey In Da Hood -
Piss off.
Mamo Wolde, Abebe Bikila
Horace Ashenfelter, gold medalist in the Steeplechase at the 1952 Olympics, was an FBI agent. The story goes that he trained at night, using park benches as barriers.
Well, the U.S. Supreme Court never heard the case. They may have denied certiorari, though I don't know. What I do know is that the federal Second Circuit Court of Appeals did deny the claim of Robert Jordan against the City of New London, Conn., after they refused to hire him because his score on an intelligence test was too high.
The background:
"On March 16, 1996, plaintiff Robert Jordan and 500 other applicants underwent a written screening process conducted by the Law Enforcement Council of Southeastern Connecticut, Inc. ("LEC"), a coalition of fourteen cities and towns, for a position as a police officer. That testing process operated as an initial screen for participating police departments. The testing material included the Wonderlic Personnel Test and Scholastic Level Exam ("WPT"), which purports to measure cognitive ability. An accompanying manual listed recommended scores for various professions and cautioned that because overqualified candidates may soon become bored with unchallenging work and quit, "[s]imply hiring the highest scoring employee can be self-defeating." Jordan scored a 33 on the WPT, above the median for any listed occupation, and well over the normative median of 21 suggested for a police patrol officer."
"In the fall of 1996, Jordan learned that the city of New London was interviewing candidates. Upon further inquiry, however, he learned from assistant city manager Keith Harrigan that he would not be interviewed because he 'didn't fit the profile.' Plaintiff, who was 46 years old, suspected age discrimination and filed an administrative complaint with the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. The city responded that it removed Jordan from consideration because he scored a 33 on the WPT, and that to prevent frequent job turnover caused by hiring overqualified applicants the city only interviewed candidates who scored between 20 and 27."
The ruling:
"Applying that lenient standard of review, we conclude that even absent a strong proven statistical correlation between high scores on the Wonderlic test and turnover resulting from lack of job satisfaction, it is enough that the city believed -- on the basis of material prepared by the test maker and a letter along similar lines sent by the LEC -- that there was such a connection."
Sorry, I somehow missed your post before I mentioned Ashenfelter.

Another, ignorant cop who has a closed mind and a racist view of blacks. How delightful.
I'm glad to be the first black man you've met who uses the word, "delightful." I look forward to the day when I meet my first cop who isn't racist toward blacks. You sure aren't one.
