I'll call and see what they say. I realize I should have started applying earlier.
You should give Halliburton or Dick Cheney a call, they just recieved a 72 million dollar "bonus"....so in case you were wondering where those Park and Recreations dollars were going...
I'll bet they could find you a job in Iraq for the summer. Worth a try!

If you were ambitious you would have already looked possible internships, and/or REUs. These deals funded by NSF, and the likes, provide room and board as well as pay around 2500-4000 for the summer. You can still look into these, but most had deadlines that have already past. Still, this is a great future reference.
Try being a man whore.
A bit second on the REU stuff. I did that for a summer and made good cash compared to everyone else, got a great resume builder, got great research experience, got published, and had all the time in the world for running, girls, and booze that summer. Also met a lot of great people. It's no wonder I ran so well the fall after that.
Start looking in October the summer before you want to start, and get your applications in early. If you're a science/math person, you shouldn't have any trouble finding one.

you can always ask around you neihborhoods if you can mow their lawn. Just get about 15 people to mow their lawn. Say you will do both front and back yards for a flat rate of 15 bucks.
an average of two houses a day and 300 bucks a week...
Unfortunately, by your example you would be required to work 7.5 days a week.
