Long hair is associated with youth. At a certain age, long hair looks silly unless the woman has taken very good care of herself (see: Christie Brinkley, Michelle Pfeiffer, Vanessa Williams, et al).
Young women with short hair invariably also look good with long hair. Most women with long hair do not look better or even as good with short hair.

Very rarely you will see an older woman who has long healthy looking hair that is grey or even practically white.
Hard to say if that would be more normal if women didn't bombard their follicles with chemicals.

It doesn't actually say that's ALL she eats.
That is the hair I'm talking about though. Incredibly rare to see that hair in everyday life.

My guess is that it is easier to take care of? However, short hair by choice beats male pattern baldness any day.

I personally think both men and women look terrible with long hair, mainly bc neither know how to take care of it.
A truly attractive woman looks too with any hairstyle, except for bangs, which only works for certain face shapes or hipsters. For some women, long hair may overpower their fine facial features.
A women who's confident enough to sport short hair probably doesn't care what men think anyway.
