Good ideas all around. Obviously she needs to train with the boys.
At the championship phase of the season, she will most likely have some competition, and needs to get use to the idea that other runners will be around her. Have her run the first half or even more of dual or tri meet with the first runner(s) of the other team. Even though it may be painfully easy she needs to get comfortable to racing with other bodies around, you know getting bumped and jostled once in awhile. If she's worried about a slow time, then she needs to hammer the last mile. I don't know how hard she runs the "easy" races, but no need to exert too much for basically nothing. I suppose she could simulate races in interval sessions with the guys as well.
It can get very frustrating for a runner to all of the sudden be in big races and running their ass off, harder/faster than ever, and have other runners all around them when they have never had that happen before. A couple of elbows or clipped heels and they fold their tent.
