I nearly broke 14mins for 5k. I actually surprised myself running my PR of 1406 because I had been drinking the night before. I was aiming for 69 second laps because that's my favorite rapper, Takashi 69. The liquor told me to do it. Howler Head Whiskey. Then I had people telling me I could have gone sub 14 had I not gave into the liquors suggestions the night prior. They didnt understand: I usually ran better hungover.
To run a sub 14 you need 20 x 400m at 66-67 sec with a rest back to 120 bpm in around 1 min + Lactate thresholds at 4.54 mile pace and easy LSD runs at 6:30 mile pace. If you have this potential just contact me and I will make your dreams come true!! - The Magic Wizard J.S -

This is a joke but my 1500m pr is legitimately ran hungover (wasnt told I was racing until the day of the race). And I did run not hungover later the same season without pring.
Well, let's make it clear. To run a world record 12:30 at the 5000m has the exact same feeling to the runner capable of it compared to e.g a runner running sub 19 min if that's the runners max . 🧙♂️🇸🇪
