Please elaborate. Sounds like an interesting story.
Please don't.

I ran a race today which I won and this guy fresh off of a 4:39 road mile a week or two back is drafting behind me in the first mile just yapping and talking away. His tone sounded extremely condescending and cocky. I almost said look if you are real good just take off and win this race. Just leave me alone. He was making jokes about drafting off of me and saying hi to everybody we passed by. I honestly thought he was messing with me and pass me with a mile to go but I ended up beating him by 80 seconds. To me it sounded like I'm real fast, look at me and grasping for attention.
What annoys me is recovery runs and some hobby jogger tries to race me, naturally I can't let them win off course. But I am bloody sore the next day. 😲
I use to think like this too but now I don't because I realize how foolish it is.. It all goes along with the whole "Why should you give a shiet what people think?" thing. Better to just let a fool bask in their own ignorance even if it inflates their ego a little than to give them control over you, and if you are changing your pace just for them then in a way they are controlling you in a way.. if you got injured on what was suppose to be a "recovery" run all because you worried a little what some nobody thought of you then who would be the real fool then?
