There's always one guy desperate to downplay news of gays people legitimized in society in this sneaky manner. But just in case you really don't get it, gay people aren't accepted in many locations, companies, and businesses, and don't have equal rights throughout this country and throughout the world. So when someone who is known and/or respected publicly declares themselves as gay, the response must be one of 1. Respect for their courage and 2. Happiness we inch closer to a universally accepting society. When you write that this isn't news, you side with the bigots who wish it wasn't news. Is that clear?

Stuns? It's not so unusual for someone to be gay. If this is "stunning" I'm curious what you'd call something truly unusual.

And how would you even have reason to suspect one way or another, given that you have no personal relationship with him, and you're not privy to his private behaviors.

Well if you're following this thread, nobody was suprised, and I was being sarcastic. But it is an interesting question as to how it is possible to tell somebodynis homosexual just by the way they move and speak.

I had no idea who this guy is. But if he's happy, then that's good. But like anyone who's out in sports - the only thing I care about is how well they do their job. If they are horrible at their jobs, then than matters more than who they bone.

Im not sure what happy and being gay have to do with each other. All gay people are not happy just as all heterosexual people are not happy.

Your sexual preference really has little of no impact on the quality of human being you are.

It may be "obvious," but he has a wife and a son.

I realize that it's not unheard of for a man with a wife and children to be gay (e.g. Oscar Wilde), but nowadays it's less often the case.
