Jay Johns. Jason Wall. Paul Spangler.
Mary Jane Harrelson and Trish Nervo could probably crack the men's top 50 at 5K, so might as well throw them in there too.
Jason Wall and Paul Spangler should be in there as well, sometimes we forget the poor folks in SW Virginia, they might was well be part of West Virginia.
Jay Johns? Not a clue who he is, I'll have to search. I'll post Wall and Spangler to the rankings when I log on here tomorrow morning. People like myself have to train at 5:30am so someday I can make the rankings :-) Unfortunately there will be people that will be knocked off the Top 50 list, once we get more names in.
BTW: Heather Hanscom is the only one I can think of that even comes close to cracking the top 50 for the men. Didn't Harrelson run sub 2;40 in the marathon? Nervo? No idea. Kristina Wells ran 2:42, but still doesn't crack the top 50. Casey Smith ran 2:45, but same as Wells, doesn't crack the top 50. Anyways, if you want to start a top 50 womens thread, be my guest.
Hmm, now that I think of it, Kevin B*ck lives in SW Virginia as well. Do we put him in as well?

you're in virgnia, where it's...1:30 am? and you're going to run in four hours? maybe getting some sleep will help you make the 'fab 50' of dc/md/va...
Thanks for the list! Peter Sherry rules! He was my high school coach back at Mclean High school! Do you know him? 13:30 5k guy!!!
eric estrada
eric furst

Do an alltime list.
Mark Malander is tarting to roll into shape again. He's a masters dude starting to get his times down again, good Cherry Blossom and Sallie Mae 10K.
allen johnson should probably be on that list too.

K*vin B*ck hasn't liv*d in Virginia for at l*ast two y*ars.
Kyle Smits moved to seattle.
Isn't there an enclave of G-team Kenyans living and training in Richmond? I may be imagining this, and even if I'm not resident foreigners probably shouldn't count anyway, but the original list did include Wilson Komen.
No Kenyan's training in Richmond... they race the marathon but don't train here unless you count the occassional Kenyan on VCU's team, but right now Polish seems to be in style.
On a side not, I've won my last two races in the state of Virginia by a combined total of over 4 minutes. Either I'm getting snubbed, or I should probably stop doing races with $5 entry fees.
Aurelio Handanga from Baltimore is pretty fast
Kevin Rhue from Richmond is decent
Estrada and Roundtree are already on the list.
LOL! ;-)
Suprisingly yes, he has run very well this year, we'll put him on the bubble for the moment. He's 47? 48?
I don't know him personally, but he's the new manager of the new Gotta Run shop that just opened up, if I'm not mistaken. He doesn't appear to race all that much.
I moved from NOVA 2 years ago. Damn, because I might have made the bottom of the list.
What about the Rockville Russians? Are they still around?
There are undoubtedly a number of high school guys that could make the list.
